‘Run Rostam Run’ attends Animasyros Int’l filmfest in Greece

 Iran animation ‘Run Rostam Run’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 11th edition of Animasyros International Film Festival in Greece.

Directed by Hossein Molayemi, the 11-minute animation is to represent Iran at the Greek film event.

The flick narrates the story of an ancient Persian national hero, albeit with comedy added to the original story.

Now, the hero must travel in time and come to modern Tehran to find a fix for what he has done to his own son. On his adventure, he faces a dilemma as he does not know whether to choose the legal or illegal way to obtain what he has started his trip for.

The International Animation Festival of the island of Syros is the largest festival and market of its kind in Greece and one of the 20 most important globally. It started in 2008 and it is annually held in the capital of Cyclades, the neoclassical town of Hermoupolis.

The festival comprises screenings, tributes  to international animation festivals, artists and studios, media literacy activities for children, youngsters and adults, parties, concerts and tons of parallel events.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for September 26-30.
